La película Belén, dirigida y protagonizada por Dolores Fonzi y producida por K&S Films, se consagró en el Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián 2025 y fue seleccionada por la Academia de Cine de la Argentina para representar al país en los Premios Oscar 2026 y los Premios Goya.
Allí, Camila Plaate obtuvo la Concha de Plata a Mejor Interpretación de Reparto por su papel como la joven tucumana cuya historia inspira la película. El film también fue ovacionado por el público y recibió elogios de la crítica internacional.
Inspirada en el libro Somos Belén de Ana Correa, la obra retrata la historia real de una joven injustamente encarcelada tras sufrir un aborto espontáneo, y el rol clave de la abogada que asumió su defensa. La producción está a cargo de Leticia Cristi y Matías Mosteirín, de K&S Films, compañía que forma parte de Insud.
Sobre este logro, Leticia Cristi destacó:
“Este proyecto nació de un compromiso colectivo por contar una historia que interpela, emociona y trasciende fronteras. Haber llegado a San Sebastián y, ahora, a los Oscar y los Goya, reafirma la potencia del cine argentino cuando se conjugan talento, convicción y trabajo en equipo”.
Con este reconocimiento, Belén se suma a la tradición de producciones argentinas que han marcado hitos en los grandes escenarios internacionales, reforzando el lugar del cine como motor cultural y social.
