Silvia Gold, PhD in Biochemistry, and Hugo Sigman, MD and psychiatrist, founded the first company of the Group in 1977.

Started operations in the pharmaceutical industry with an office in Barcelona.

Over the years, Silvia Gold and Hugo Sigman expanded their activities, consolidating the pharma operations and diversifying to other lines of business. Established in 2010, Grupo Insud does business in the pharmaceutical, agricultural, forestry, biotech, cultural and renewable energy industries.
